Ramen Spoon-Fork

A few days ago, I took an online jaunt through the website of one of my favorite museums – The Museum of Modern Arts – MoMA, and stumbled upon this interesting piece of flatware.
The design is impressive, a spoon and a fork mix to become a hybrid-eating utensil called a Ramen Spoon Fork, currently available exclusively at MoMA. The Ramen Spoon Fork has other assumed names, like spork, spork 2.0, sfork, and foon.
I see and appreciate the practicality in the concept but wonder if it is truly user-friendly. My curiosity may lead me to do a little online shopping.
According to information about this item at MoMa, it was designed by Masami Takahashi, who originally customized it for use at Sugakiya, a ramen noodle restaurant chain in Japan.
I think this is a clever idea and wonder what other ways it could be useful. Could it scrape seeds and strings from squash, for example? I may revisit the spork, as I like to call it, in a future post, provided I find enough ways it can function outside of what it was originally designed to do.
