How do you handle a hot day? Blend yourself a warm weather thirst quencher like this frothy limeade. It is a light, refreshing, and cleansing drink. The ginger adds a kick to the tart citrus flavor.

Frothy Ginger Infused Limeade

When I make this drink for myself, I go light on the agave. Add more or less agave, or sweetener of choice, as you see fit. If you are not a fan of ginger, omit it or substitute with fresh cooling mint. Share this drink with friends by multiplying the recipe or make a pitcher of it.

½ cup lime juice [about 2 or 3 limes], fresh squeezed
2 cup filtered water or crushed ice
2 tablespoons agave
2 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

Juice the limes and add the juice to a blender. Add filtered water or ice cubes, agave, and the grated ginger to the blender. Blend until frothy.

Pour into a glass garnished with a lime wedge. Serve immediately.

Wow, that looks so appealing! And where do you find that fabulous glass?

Hi Marilyn – The glass is nice. I was lucky to receive it as a gift set from the owner of a fabulous bed and breakfast I recently visited in Oregon with my husband, best friend and her family.

I finally bought agave! Thanks Ingrid for the recommendation. It was on the pricey side but worth it. I made this drink yesterday, altering the recipe just a bit with a little more agave and it was perfect!!! I really like the twist of ginger in this drink. I’ll be making this drink again.

Zara – I’m so glad you enjoyed this drink and that you are now using agave ~ that is great!

    hi.
I juice the ginger in my manual wheat grass juicer.
Easier than dirtying the juicer and the liquid ginger is very potent too.
also add seasonal berries to this drink.
    Raspberry ginger limeade is sublime.
