What a super cute idea! I love these! For next year (or for Christmas or whatever holiday) I want to get molds so I can do these.

Heidi – use this recipe to make cookies for any holiday theme or simply make a batch of no-frill cookies. Using molds or cookie cutters make nice decorative and uniform cookies. You can also free form these cookies shaping with your hands. This recipe would make great Christmas cookies – snow persons, christmas trees, snowflakes, candy canes, etc.

A friend of mine surprised me with a 4 tray Excalibur dehydrator for my birthday about 6 months ago and only used it once. Your recipe was my excuse to use it again and I’m glad I did. I followed your recipe exactly as written. I didn’t have candy models so I just shaped them with my hands into little round discs, flattened them and popped them in the dehydrator. These cookies are delicious! Sweet but not too sweet and the hint of banana is very nice. This recipe is a keeper. Thank you so much for posting.
