My most amusing experience was when a cashier was ringing up all my fruits and veggies – ‘Wow! How do you eat all those veggies??’ Another time it was ‘That’s a lot of bananas!’
And then of course the classic questions of ‘where do you get your protein and calcium.’

What a wonderful interview with the lovely Dhrumil.

There were two funny responses – when I first mentioned raw to my colleague, my boss overheard and said “Oh, I knew people like that. They didn’t have an oven. They were weeeeeeird”

Second one which I get all the time is “don’t you get sick of eating cold food all the time?”

The Raw Food Diet Myth or Raw Magic would be books I’d graciously receive!

The most amusing reaction was expressed without words. My friend’s facial expression said it all. He tilted his head, eyebrows low, squinted eyes, crease down the middle of his forehead, mouth a gape, one side of his upper lip raised. Huh? This is the word, if you can call it that, which best sums up his look. It was priceless.

If my number is picked, any of the books would be good. Thanks, great interview.

My favourite immediate response comes from multiple milk-lovers: “Oh no, I could never give up cheese!!!”

Recently, after nearly a year raw, I mentioned RAW Fu’s 100 day challenge to my stepdaughter, saying that the challenge was to eat raw foods only for 100 days. (She is 17 and lives with me.. ) She laughed and said “oh, no one can do that!” I was sort of stunned and said quietly “well, uh, I do it all the time..” She didn’t say anything else! I guess she was so used to me just eating salads and green smoothies and juice she did not realize I was eating all raw!
