Last year we gave away a Vita-Mix 5200 for Raw Epicurean’s 1st Annual Holiday Giveaway, and for this year’s holiday giveaway we are thrilled to offer again a Vita-Mix 5200!!!
My sister refuses to call the Vita-Mix a blender. It’s a machine, she says. I totally agree with her, and they didn’t name it a Whole Food Machine for nothing. At first glance, you might want to lump it into the category of blenders, but once you’ve experienced its power and functionality, calling it a mere blender doesn’t do it justice. It’s a power-house, work-horse, a fantastic machine!
My Vita-Mix gets a good workout regularly. I know I’ve got my money’s worth from it and then some. It was a smart investment well worth every penny. I use it to make nut and seed milk, nut and seed butter, dressing, vinaigrette, cream, soup, and sauces. The Vita-Mix 5200 comes with two containers: wet and dry. The dry container I use to turn nuts, seeds, herbs, and spices into a flour-like or powder consistency.

Wow! I want so much to win a Vita-mix! I’ve been trying every way possible. I even got to borrow a friend’s Vita-mix for about 4 weeks, another time for about 2 weeks, and another time for about 1 week. Please please pick me :) I make a green smoothie every morning (and often in the evening as well), and it takes 5-10 minutes just to mix it since I have to stop, stir, stop, stir, etc. And it is even a new blender!!! I have been exploring going Raw and I know the first thing on everyones list is a VITAMIX Machine and I have been looking online for the right one. It is was my only holiday gift I’d love to ask for, times are a bit tight,truth be told and the sticker price is a bit of a hurdle right now but when I saw this on facebook I jumped at it. I know this is the best thing a vegan raw on training wheels could have so ……here I go ..may the best person win!!!!

I have an older Vitamix, and love it, love it, love it. I regularly have smoothies, soups, “ice creams”, nut butters, what have you in the VitaMix. I currently own an over the counter sunbeam blender and it has helped me make juices and smoothies a nd elixirs but is on its last leg so I am hoping I am the only #10 and I win if not that is cool too becuase I know I will hvae one when it is right! My old blender has a narrow chopping area and the food always bootlenecks down there and there is no push stick. So I always have to turn the blender off,stir the food around, restart, and repeat the process until the food is sufficiently blended

I didn’t buy one tho… I’d love a vita-mix as that’s been my tool of choice for years, sadly it’s always been someone else’s tool.
I was looking into other blenders as cheaper alternatives…but I’m not confident they will perform as well as the vita-mix.

My daughter, who lives nearby, is a midwife, and she introduced me to the raw lifestyle. Neither of us have a Vitamix yet, but would love to have one. I am a health counselor, and she and I are thinking of collaborating on a cookbook for pregnant women. A Vitamix would help tremendously with this project.

The first time I saw a Vitamix was at the County Fair when I was a kid. I was mesmerized by the fellow in the booth and all he could create with one magical machine.

I have coveted a Vita-Mix for years. My blender is an old Oster from 1989! I have desire for more raw discovery – to make nut butters, raw soups, smoothies, but my blender isn’t cutting it any more (pardon the pun).
All the chefs I used to work with made the most heavenly soups from the freshest ingredients and that is how I plan to get through the winter this year.

I’d love a vitamix. The price has been the only thing hampering me from buying one. The twenty-something year old blender I use is on it’s dying legs and doesn’t quite give an even consistency to anything. Plus, I hear they work great as make-shift juicers through the sheer awesome of pulverizing anything. It would be nice to condense my kitchen gadgetry into one useful machine. <3

I’d give anything to have a Vita-mix. I’ve learned how to become the raw/vegan “chef” for my mother this last couple months when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Not only has my family become healthier but we have a chance of saving my mother. These machines are so expensive, rather, it would make a world of difference and allow us a chance to create recipes that give her an alternative while battling this disease!

I recently changed to the raw lifestyle, so I have been reseaching Raw sites and came accross your FABULOUS blog!

For the past few weeks I have made simple green smoothies on the tiny bullet blender, and it just doesn’t work. It’s so small;if I want to make a really complex smoothie, I can’t because the blades get stuck…so I often have chunky smoothies. You cannot leave the blender on for say, 2 minutes because it starts smelling smokey…I’m always afraid I will break my mom’s only blender.
In sum, I have found it really difficult to make many delicious raw recipes with just the tiny bullet blender. A Vitamix would truly change my life for the good.
I would be able to make so many raw recipes, and in larger quantites too; I would have enough food for my familia to try and get them hooked in the raw food lifestyle!
I am a fulltime student and getting a Vitamix on my own seems very unlikely at the moment. Just yesterday after visiting the Vitamix webstore, I decided to start saving money to be able to buy it.
Sooo, oh my goodness, I hope this is the correct number….my guess is number 13!
