Love yogurt? I do yet I haven’t had much of it lately and wanted to try my hand at making homemade yogurt for some time. I’ve heard it is so easy to do but, for reasons I can’t come up with, I just haven’t done it. That has changed since I’ve been making yogurt with Tribest Yolife Yogurt Maker.
I’m in total yogurt making experiment mode, not making it with cow’s or soy milk, but using nut or seed milk. If you aren’t familiar with nut or seed milk it’s simply nuts or seeds blended with water, and strained to remove any pulp [usually 1 part nut/seed to 3 parts water]. So far the experimenting is going well. What yogurt have I made? Almond yogurt [delicious], a tangy walnut yogurt [yum], and sunflower seed yogurt [lightly-tangy]. I’m looking forward to making yogurt with brazil nuts, cashews, pecans, hazelnuts, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, pine nuts, and I especially can’t wait to make coconut milk so I can make coconut yogurt!
I will write more about experimenting and what I’ve discovered making non-dairy nut and/or seed based yogurt in a future post. Now I want to talk about the Yolife Yogurt Maker and let you know that there is one reserved for one of you, thanks to my generous friends at Tribest! I like that the Yolife has a temperature controlled environment and in just 8-10 hours, you’ve got yogurt. Imagine during an evening preparing the yogurt base, stirring in a yogurt stater, pouring the mixture into the glass jars that comes with this unit, or using other containers [preferably glass, or plastic, definitely not metal], covering with one of the two clear lids, and in the morning you have fresh homemade yogurt. How nice is that.
Yolife Yogurt Maker Features:
There is the flexibility to use the containers included with Yolife and/or larger glass or plastic containers. I’ve used a couple of the glass jar it comes with Yolife, along with my own recycled glass jars. The seven individual serving size glass jars make it convenient to make a weeks supply of yogurt, up to 80 ounces of yogurt at a time. Top off your homemade yogurt with your choice of fresh fruit and sweeten as you’d like. Yogurt enthusiasts looking for a good quality yogurt maker, this one fits to bill. Speaking of bills, at around $40 dollars, the price is reasonable, plus there’s a 5-year warranty included. You don’t need a yogurt maker to make yogurt but, it is nice to have a practical device that assists in making nutritious homemade yogurt easy and convenient.
