Raw Epicurean is written for those who are interested in natural wholesome foods prepared raw, or in another word, uncooked. You’ll find tips, ideas, suggestions and recipes shared from recipes books; other like-minded people, and from what I’ve created and learned along the way.
About Ingrid ::
My name is Ingrid, I’m married, we have two cats, live on the high desert of California, and I love raw vegan food. I’m a life long enthusiast of all things related to health and a healthy lifestyle. I am a self-taught cook [pre and post raw] with an emphasis on wholesome foods that nourish the body, mind and spirit.
Since March of 2007, I have been on the raw food path and remain “high-raw” [in percentages: 95%]. I’ve become fascinated with the notion of preparing foods according to the “raw” standard and have created recipes, transforming traditional cooked recipes into raw receips and blogging about it.
In short, I simply enjoy natural wholesome foods, preparing it, reading and writing about it and of course eating it. I find it great fun.
I have another blog, Natural Living Cuisine, a post-by-post chronicle of natural wholesome foods and raw food recipes.

Love + Gratitude ::
The beautiful man I married, Peter Barati, lovingly sizes the photos for each post + he is one of my critical taste testers.
Thank you to my mother, Sylvia Weithers, another much appreciated critical taste tester.
A very special “Thank You” to my sister, Harriet Weithers, for the use of her Vita-Mix blender, a must in every raw kitchen.
Thank you a bazillion x 10 to my best friend, Marilyn King, for her unlimited support, encouragement and friendship.
